Schwartz's memoir is raw, honest, and wildly entertaining. A former financial analyst who became one of the most successful S&P futures day traders, he writes about trading with an energy most trading authors lack. The book covers his transition from analyst to trader, his championship wins, and the physical and emotional toll of high-stakes day trading. Less structured than Schwager's books but more visceral. The sections on his trading competitions are riveting. Loses a point for some dated market mechanics and occasional braggadocio, but the core lessons about discipline and risk management are timeless.
