O'Neil's CAN SLIM methodology is one of the few trading systems with decades of documented results. The book teaches a growth-stock picking framework combining fundamental strength (earnings, sales) with technical entry timing (cup-with-handle patterns, base breakouts). Well-structured and specific about what to look for. The historical examples are excellent. Where it falls short: the approach requires significant screening work, it's focused exclusively on US equities, and O'Neil's writing can feel like a sales pitch for Investor's Business Daily. Still, this is the best single book on growth stock trading.
