The encyclopedia of technical analysis. Murphy covers chart patterns, indicators, intermarket analysis, and practically every classical TA concept in one comprehensive volume. This is a reference book, not a page-turner — you'll consult it repeatedly rather than read it cover to cover. Strongest sections are on trend identification and intermarket relationships. The indicator chapters are thorough but risk overwhelming beginners with too many tools. Some material is dated (pre-algorithmic markets), but the foundational concepts remain valid. Best treated as a desk reference alongside more opinionated strategy books.
